Nepal's top leaders demand PM Oli's resignation after he accuses India of trying to 'topple' his government

Top leaders of Nepal's ruling Communist Party have asked Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to resign with immediate effect, during a standing committee meeting of the party on Tuesday. The senior leaders, including co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Nepal, Jhalnath Khanal and Bamdev Gautam have asked the Prime Minister to step down from the post citing his 'failure' over various issues. The development comes over the prime minister's recent remarks that efforts are being made to oust him after his government redrew the country's political map. Oli has also been slammed by former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' for his remarks.
